Radix is fuelling farmers with 12,500 breakfasts for calving

Radix Nutrition is fuelling farmers for their busiest time of the year with 12,500 complete breakfasts distributed by Fonterra’s Farm Source representatives in their yearly calving packs.

Fonterra dairy is a key ingredient in many of the Radix meals, as well as in their Whey Protein DIAAS Complex 1.61 powder, so it is full circle to give back to the farmers who produce the high-quality, grass-fed milk here in New Zealand.

“We have loved the opportunity to give back to our farmers. As a Waikato business surrounded by dairy blocks, we are proud to know that the milk products we use most likely came from cows just down the road,” said Radix Nutrition General Manager, Leighton Cosgrave.

“We believe New Zealand makes some of the best produce in the world, from fruits and vegetables, to meat, and dairy, so it's something we take advantage of whenever we can when choosing ingredients for our products.” 

Radix's collaborative relationship with Fonterra sees them work closely with their Research and Development Centre (FRDC)to develop their leading protein, which provides a complete amino acid profile and the highest DIAAS score available in the New Zealand market.

“Our partnership with Fonterra has allowed us to unlock new possibilities with our dairy protein products so that we can continue to be leaders in our field. It is great to have the reassurance that the products stand up to our own high standards, and to see our customers are reaping the rewards,” said Cosgrave.

Last year, Radix also provided 36,000 protein powder samples in the Farm Source calving packs so that farmers could try out this innovative product made from their milk.
