Radix Nutrition named as finalist for Waikato Business Awards

Radix Nutrition has been named as a finalist for the Waikato Chamber of Commerce 2026 Waikato Business Awards in the International Trade category. 

Since its establishment in 2013, Radix Nutrition has cemented itself as a well-known and trusted brand in the New Zealand outdoor nutrition industry. This solid foundation has allowed it to scale its operations abroad, building a profitable operation in Australia. 

However, strong competition in outdoor nutrition in Australia has seen Radix pivot its focus to the broader functional sports nutrition category. Securing listings with 91 7-Eleven convenience stores and 13 pharmacy outlets in Australia for its protein range, has been a landmark result that places the New Zealand-made nutrition brand in front of millions of everyday Australian consumers who would never encounter it through an outdoor or specialty retailer. 

This success and sustainable growth in Australia cemented Radix as an International Trade finalist, alongside Rotorua-based global forestry harvesting company Waratah NZ in a competitive entry season. 

Waikato Chamber of Commerce chief executive Don Good says the increase in entries is a vote of confidence from a business community that has had a demanding few years. 

“When conditions are tight, entering an awards programme is one of the first things that gets pushed down the list. So the fact that entries are up on last year tells you something about this region. Businesses here are still backing themselves, still investing in their people, and still prepared to put their work in front of independent judges.” 

The award winners will be unveiled at the Gala Dinner on November 6 at Claudelands Arena, alongside the Supreme Winner, CEO of the Year, and the People’s Choice Award.
